I am looking rather greyer than normal, I have no makeup on, hair scragged back, my eyes are red from the couple of minor panic attacks and meltdowns I’ve had today this is not something I would ever normally post. . However, there is a little method to this rather big chunk of madness- This is all because I am writing a paper on perfectionism 😂🙈 I struggle when it comes to academic writing- always have. Although I’ve never failed I’m never massively happy with my results....and now I’m sat here reading about how perfectionism can have negative and often detrimental effects on a persons mental health and self esteem.......ALRIGHT I GET IT! Today is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science! One you may not have heard about but a day that should be celebrated. Most people say they wouldn’t look at me and think ‘scientist’ but what does that even mean? When I was younger I never would have dreamed of going into a Scientific field, in fact I would have straight up said no! I never used to think of myself as clever enough for sciences so I never bothered to really try. Now here I am studying at Trinity Laban, an internationally renowned leader in Dance Science and I’m loving it!
